Guarantees of His Covenant – Our Protection

Hi All. I hope everyone has had a good weekend?

Negative Global Events

Following global events over the past week, and the weekend, you might be led to believe that random acts of devastating violence and misfortune, as portrayed in the media can happen to anyone, and at any time, without hope or the possibility of redemption from such events.

While it is true that this could be, it also however true that there is a set of people to whom a promise is made of supernatural protection, from God [Jehovah], on the basis of His covenant with them.

His Covenant

God has promised that He will keep us safe and sound, even as these negative global events occur with increasing frequency and intensity.

  • John 10:28-30 (KJV)  – And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. [https://alkitab.app/v/1fb41d67bca6]
  • Psalm 121 – 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. We can therefore be rest assured, that as [born again] children of God, we will be protected from these occurrences.

Staying Protected

On our part, there are things we can do, to ensure that we stay protected:

  1. Understand that, especially, if you are active in His covenant, that you are most likely known to the enemy, to the evil one. With this knowledge, continue walking uprightly in all your ways, and the chances of being harmed, as a fallout from your own transgressions will be minimized.
  2. Walk intelligently, and mindfully. Do not go to places you have no business being at. Walk with intent/purpose, using your own developed understanding, and yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in this regard as well.
  3. Pray often, especially in the Spirit, and listen to God’s answers/responses to your prayers. He talks back. Listen carefully, and follow his instructions always.
  4. Use your authority. Invoke the authority you have a believer in Christ. This involves making bold, positive and covenant based declarations over your life and affairs. Invoke things in the name of Jesus, according to God’s will, especially as expressed in His Word.
  5. Follow His instructions, both to you directly, and as expressed in His Word.
  6. Understand that even if you don’t hit the mark, all the time, His boundless grace avails for you, and He will protect you, as He is able and willing. Meditate on that & rest in it.

Our kind thoughts & prayers are with those who have experienced a negative global event, around the World, especially in the last week or two. We pray that for God’s comfort and healing.
