I was listening to someone preaching the other day, I think it was Steven Furtick. So, he was talking about helping children to grow in God’s word & that set me thinking: how was it that I grew?
There are of course, many reasons, but I think a key & very simple reason was that I simply took things as they were. In other words, I took him at his word, without initially seeking to deeply understand the whys.
I would later on see Jesus express this approach when he spoke of God’s kingdom. How that we must be as children, simply trusting in him.
- Mark 10:15 (ASV) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein. https://alkitab.app/v/d8fedb6370d5
Sure, we can always mature on to the whys, but we’ve go to have that simple start.
When I sit in from of my computer to use it productively, there’s a sequence to getting it started. A framework if you like. I have to press the power button, log in, launch my apps & then start doing stuff.
I may disagree with how it starts, but if I’m to get productive with that device, at that time, in its given framework, I’ve got to stick with the given sequence.
God’s kingdom is like that. It has many light frameworks which we’ve got to follow, in order to grow & prosper.
Start by simply trusting him, at his word. In his arms there’s rest for the restless & the weary, & hope for the sinner.
