Those who are called by God into his kingdom usually will face opposition while in this world. Jesus himself said this will happen, but that we should be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. In the book of Daniel, we learn that one of the ways opposition comes is via flattery. They who do wickedly against God’s covenant attempt to corrupt via flatteries. However the bible also says that they who do know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits.
It is important to discern the spirit or intent behind praises, when they are being heaped on you. Praises can be insincere or excessive and they have the potential to beguile.
It is important therefore, for those who wish to attain notable achievements, to grow closer to God, understanding his mind, his precepts and his principles. It is important to grow in our understanding of him experientially, by exercising our faculties and gifts, and by reason of that, growing in confidence having seen his manifestations in response to our exercise of faith.
Wait on him. Renew your strength and mount up with wings as eagles.
