Sometimes we get confused about God. It can seem as though He shows up strongly in one part of our lives and not at all in another.

In truth, He is there for us throughout. While it is right to ask God for what we want, He sometimes delivers the answers differently from what we expected.

We should still trust Him when this happens, knowing that His thoughts and actions toward us are for good and are meant to bring us to the right end.

• Jeremiah 29:11 (UKJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

We can rest in that.
